August 04, 2010

Salary.com, a provider of on-demand talent management, payroll and compensation solutions, announced that Ipswitch (News - Alert), a Massachusetts-based network management software provider, has purchased CompAnalyst Market Data for its compensation market pricing.

Through this partnership, Ipswitch joins more than 3,700 enterprise subscribers of Salary.com that use on-demand data and software for compensation and talent management, company officials said.

CompAnalyst Market Data enables companies to attract and retain top talent with validated, competitive pay rates, company officials said. It ensures market pay competitiveness with 100 percent employer- reported data.

Companies can benchmark against up-to-date information with automatic, monthly updates. The solution enables them to easily customize data by scoping, aging, and blending. Companies can access data for more than 3,900 jobs and 21 industries across the United States and Canada.

Michelle Hayes, director of human resources at Ipswitch, said, “CompAnalyst Market Data delivers technology-industry data that's comprehensive and relevant from coast to coast, making it easy for our entire management team to establish effective and consistent pay programs.”

Incorporating compensation market pricing in an easy-to-use and up-to-date platform, CompAnalyst Market Data allows the company to centralize market pricing around a single, easy to use, trusted solution, Hayes added.

Salary.com's configurable software applications, proprietary data and consulting services help HR and compensation professionals automate, streamline and optimize critical talent management processes including: payroll, benefits, HR administration, market pricing, compensation planning, performance management, competency management, learning and development, and succession planning.

“CompAnalyst Market Data is sourced by hundreds of employer-reported surveys, and can serve as a company's primary source of market data or as a great back-up source when a company's own surveys don't provide the depth required,” Brent Kleiman, SVP, marketing and strategy at Salary.com, said.

Salary.com's team of Certified Compensation Professionals analyzes and adjusts the data and provides the most up-to-date and readily usable market pricing data available anywhere, the company said.

Recently the company announced it has added consulting services industry job models to its growing job model and competency library of more than 1,500 job models and 1,300 functional competencies which provide data and structure for typical jobs at all levels of an organization.
