WhatsUp Gold Network Management System Maker Ipswitch a 'Best Place to Work' in Boston: Report

May 26, 2010

Ipswitch, a three-division company that delivers the WhatsUp Gold network management suite, announced it has been named as one of the best places to work in 2010 in the greater Boston Area by the Boston Business Journal.

Ipswitch (News - Alert) is among 60 companies recognized by the Journal for offering employees a comfortable work environment, work-life balance, job satisfaction, advancement opportunities, management compensation and benefits. Ipswitch was chosen in the mid-sized company category.

Ennio Carboni, president of Ipswitch's Network Management Division, said that the division employs nearly 50 percent of Ipswitch employees.

"We take very seriously the responsibility of recruiting confident, empowered talent and providing a challenging, safe, productive work environment for our employees," Carboni said. "Our financial results and this award prove there is truth to our methodology."

Even a well-designed network runs into problems; errors can occur anywhere, anytime and can bring the entire network to a stop within a short span of time. A non-dependable network affects business operations, a company's reputation and even the employees' morale.

Ipswitch said it designed WhatsUp Gold to offer companies the means to troubleshoot their network with complete visibility.

The company has also announced that until the end of May 2010 it will donate $1 to ACCION USA's microlending program with every download of WhatsUp Gold.

In related news, Ipswitch showcased MOVEit DMZ and Ipswitch WhatsUp Gold launched World Cup network traffic calculator.
