Network Hardware Resale (NHR (News - Alert)), a provider of pre-owned and new networking equipment, announced it has been recognized as one of the nation's fastest-growing private companies by Inc. magazine for the fourth consecutive year.
The exclusive Inc. 5000 represents a comprehensive look at America's independent-minded entrepreneurs. According to Inc., these prestigious companies represent the best of the best in the American spirit of free enterprise, innovation and hard work.
“The leaders of the companies on this year's Inc. 5000 have figured out how to grow their businesses during the longest recession since the Great Depression,” Inc. president Bob LaPointe, said. “The 2010 Inc. 5000 showcases a particularly hardy group of entrepreneurs.”
This year NHR was ranked No. 48 on the list of the nation's top computer hardware companies with an overall ranking of No. 4,058, based on consistent three-year revenue increases, the company said.
“To earn a spot on the prestigious Inc. 5000 for the fourth straight year represents both a great honor and further validation of NHR's corporate mission to help our customers worldwide maximize their IT budgets,” Mike Sheldon, president and CEO of NHR, added.

Despite the fact that most of this year's measuring period of 2006-2009 took place during the latest recession, aggregate revenue among the companies on the list actually increased to $321.6 billion, up more than 50 percent from last year, Inc. said.
“The effects of the recession are seen, however, in the median three-year growth rate, which dropped to 96 percent from last year's 126 percent. Companies on this year's Inc. 5000 employ a record 1.4 million people, up from one million on last year's list,” Inc. officials stated.
NHR serves Global 1000 companies, small and mid-sized enterprises, government entities, educational institutions, healthcare organizations and telecommunications service providers.
The company delivers fully tested, pre-owned network routers, switches, access servers and IP telephony equipment from leading manufacturers, including Cisco (News - Alert), Juniper, Foundry and Extreme.
In 2009 responding to a United Network Equipment Dealer Association (UNEDA) survey of used network equipment revenue, NHR said that now more than ever, companies are turning to the secondary market and UNEDA member companies to stretch their IT dollars farther.
The UNEDA survey found that more than 50 percent say that since companies are refraining from buying product upgrades and investing in network migrations they are demanding second hand spares and guaranteed repair back-up for all pre-owned asset purchases.
