TeleMate.Net Software Adds Voice Security Information and Event Management to Network Monitoring
TeleMate.Net Software, a provider of network monitoring solutions, has enhanced its TeleMate Unified Call Management product line by adding role-based security information and event management for all phone systems and VoIP gateways.
The new Voice Security Information and Event Management (vSIEM) solution is designed to address the security issues associated with voice network, which leave enterprises and service providers exposed to malicious threats.
TeleMate Unified Call Management product line provides centralized, real-time aggregation of all communication activity, extensive role-based visualization technologies, and trend-based notification and delivery mechanisms.
According to John O’Reilly, COO and president of TeleMate.Net Software, selective and secure, role-based access to voice network data is mission-critical to organization management especially for regulatory compliance, data loss protection and identity management.
“Though these topics are typically used in reference to the Internet, the ability of a single system to provide immediate actionable information to executive and operational management, as well as task-based team leaders is a ‘must have’ today,” O’Reilly added. “vSIEM couples this flexibility for voice networks with persistent trending from the handset to the public switching interface. vSIEM provides business users a complete picture of how the network is being utilized.”
The growth of VoIP as a mainstream communication technology using IP data networks has increased the importance of voice security and compliance audits. While leading VoIP PBX vendors like Cisco (News - Alert), Avaya, and Siemens have implemented basic security controls, VoIP services still remain prone to threats.
TeleMate.Net Software provides solutions that deliver unprecedented visibility within complex IT networks, allowing customers to spend less time collecting and monitoring data and more proactive time managing their overall business.
In another related announcement in the industry, OPNET, a provider of NetMapper diagramming solution, announced it has added intelligence to NetMapper so that its users can get a deeper look into network virtualization.
