Hostway in Pact with StillSecure to Launch Managed Network Security Solution

By Rajani Baburajan, TMCnet Contributor

Hostway (News - Alert) Corporation, a provider of Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and cloud hosting service, has partnered with StillSecure to expand its selection of data and network security solutions for customers.

Hostway has added eight new standard security packages ranging from economical multi-tenant options to solutions designed to support PCI (News - Alert) compliance initiatives.

"Hostway requires a proven partner to deliver best-in-class managed security solutions for each of their critical segments - colo, dedicated, and cloud," said Rajat Bhargava, president and CEO of StillSecure (News - Alert), in a statement. "Our managed network security solutions are a perfect fit for Hostway because they are already auditor-approved and monitored continuously by our team of security experts.”

This enhanced security level will help Hostway address escalating concerns around network security much more effectively, in addition to providing a comprehensive and cost-effective solution set to customers.

The multi-tenant options include an introductory package providing an advanced network firewall, SSL VPN remote access, patch management and vulnerability scanning. It allows multiple customers to remain hosted on a single appliance platform with customer data physically separated to ensure confidentiality and security.

In addition to the introductory package, the security package includes several other multi-tenant and dedicated bundles including various combinations of intrusion detection and/or prevention, log management, file integrity monitoring and a Web application firewall.

The third option in the package is StillSecure’s PCI Complete solution featuring multiple auditor-approved services, policies and procedures. It helps merchants comply with the managed security sub-requirements defined in the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS).

"Prior to this release, most of those conversations diverged on security "needs" and security budgets," said Aaron Hollobaugh, vice president of Marketing, Hostway, in a statement. "Hostway can now offer flexible, cost-effective managed security services that are market driven and instantly fill a security gap within the managed hosting marketplace."

The companies will further extend their partnership to provide comprehensive cloud security solutions for both private and public cloud (FlexCloud) hosting. The managed solutions will support physical, virtual and multi-tenant environments, solve the unique security gaps created by virtual environments, and help Hostway customers comply with the numerous regulations surrounding audit and logging controls.
