A provider of electronic signature technology DocuSign has selected hosting and managed network services from SunGard to further enhance the security and reliability of its global network.
Using one of SunGard’s data center facilities, DocuSign expects to accommodate the company’s rapid growth.
For its third data center, DocuSign plans to leverage SunGard's colocation services, Internet and private fiber network. In addition, it’s also expected to use PCI (News - Alert) DSS-compliant facility along with EMC’s infrastructure storage equipment.
SunGard’s broad footprint of 35 data centers will enable DocuSign to expand its global network to meet the electronic document and signature management needs of customers around the world, eliminating capital and operating expenses of building and running its own data centers.
Grant Peterson, chief technology officer at DocuSign, said that tripling the company’s configuration will enable them to continue delivering the high level of security and reliability DocuSign customers have come to expect of the company as it continues to grow rapidly.
“SunGard has proven to be a valuable partner, working to understand our business and designing a resilient, highly available solution to address our specific needs,” Peterson said.
Once the new data center is in operation, DocuSign will have three geographically dispersed SSAE 16 Type II data centers providing a scalable global electronic signature network.
To DocuSign, SunGard’s security rules, policies and practices within its data centers are important. Company officials said that this helps the company maintain its commitment to provide customers with a fast and secure way to send, sign, track and store documents in the cloud.
SunGard is a provider of software and technology services companies. The company offers software and processing solutions for financial services, higher education and the public sector.
“Signing a customer like DocuSign further demonstrates the return we are seeing in our investment in the quality of our data centers,” said Michael Beck, senior vice president and general manager for Managed Services at SunGard Availability Services.
The company’s customers have indicated how the process-oriented delivery team brings great value by helping ensure their critical infrastructure is always on, keeping customers' businesses in business.
Earlier this month, Intercap Corretora selected SunGard’s Valdi to help it expand its businesses.
