February 07, 2012

In case you were looking for the best of the best in the Infrastructure as a Service space, look no further than executives at Hexagrid (News - Alert).

Today, Compare the Cloud, an independent cloud comparison provider, named Hexagrid officials Suresh Mandava and Dave Rokita as premier thought leaders in the worldwide Infrastructure as a Service field. Compare the Cloud recently launched a new cloud computing comparison website that compiles information and evaluation resources about trustworthy cloud vendors to guarantee that customers find the right cloud solutions for the right price.

“It's always an honor to be recognized as a thought leader in your field of expertise; anyone who is passionate about their work in the technology field strives to achieve this type of recognition,” Mandava, founder and CEO of Infrastructure as a Service enabler Hexagrid, told TMCnet. “At Hexagrid we spend a lot of time evaluating service provider and user needs then developing our solutions to cater to those requirements. We monitor current cloud computing market conditions as well as trends for anticipated market transitions and try to work all these factors into what we do every day which is build cloud enabling solutions that always work in the real-world and always exceed market expectations. “

“Recognition of these efforts by Compare the Cloud, a reputable technology advisor in the United Kingdom, provides us with another avenue to educate the market about the realities of cloud computing and continue establishing Hexagrid's reputation as an industry leader,” he added.

Hexagrid, a company founded in 2008, develops Infrastructure as a Service cloud computing solutions that empower companies to build public or private clouds customized for their unique organizational structures, profitability objectives and policy requirements. Hexagrid accomplishes this through its flagship cloud platform, VxDatacenter.

According to Daniel Thomas, founder and director of Compare the Cloud, it was quite an easy decision to welcome Mandava and Rokita, vice president of technology operations at Hexagrid, as esteemed thought leaders.

“They can bring a wealth of industry knowledge and in depth guidance to the site that will aid our visitors in understanding cloud computing deployment models,” Thomas told TMCnet.

As part of the new site, Mandava and Rokita will be expected to provide a regular in-depth blog describing how they personally view the latest cloud issues, such as cloud computing security or service provider deployment of cloud computing.

Compare the Cloud offers an independent comparison of cloud computing services and solutions to help companies better evaluate cloud computing alternatives. Customers can visit the free Web-based cloud computing tool, complete a form and then receive a report of cloud services and solutions specifically suited to their business situation.

Compare the Cloud is eager to get Hexagrid on board with this effort, according to company officials.

“Hexagrid is at the leading edge of cloud computing, firmly establishing itself as one of the most innovative and exciting operators in this sector,” said Luke Wheeler, chairman of Compare the Cloud, in a statement. “As part of Hexagrid’s close involvement with Compare the Cloud.net, we look forward to expert commentary and advice for all our readers and business technology customers in the cloud computing sector.”

And for Rokita, the feeling is mutual.

“Daniel Thomas and his team at Compare the Cloud have a solid reputation for evaluating complex IT solutions and efficiently delivering simple, applicable information to their customers,” Rokita said in a statement. “We are honored that the Compare the Cloud Team found some of our blogs, evaluated our technology, and appreciates our forward-thinking point of view within the cloud computing industry. We are pleased to provide information and blog content that will support Compare the Cloud’s efforts in advising the broader UK and worldwide business community about the many options available in cloud computing.”
