Hexagrid’s VxDatacenter platform is a comprehensive Infrastructure as Service cloud solution specifically designed for real-world IT delivery. The platform provides “unprecedented control and agility enabling IT organizations to deliver all the benefits of today’s popular commodity clouds without all the hassles,” according to company officials. The tagline for the product reads: “It’s your cloud, own it!”
“We are honored that the judging panel of industry experts selected VxDatacenter for this award,” said Suresh Mandava, CEO and founder of Hexagrid, in a statement. “When virtualization was just beginning, before the term ‘cloud computing’, Hexagrid was developing VxDatacenter to revolutionize the way businesses deliver and consume IT resources. Today VxDatacenter enables infrastructure as a service in more than 10 countries on 4 continents as an all-in-one virtualization tool and cloud management system. This award is a testament to our progress.”
VxDatacenter relies on KVM hypervisor technology as a turnkey Infrastructure as a Service platform that helps IT organizations virtualize and manage commodity hardware as customized public, private, or hybrid clouds. VxDatacenter can be applied by either a service provider or enterprise to achieve multi-level control and management of virtual IT resources. VxDatacenter virtualization, on average, improves IT infrastructure utilization from the average 15 percent to over 85 percent, maximizing the value of capital IT investments, according to company officials.
Over 250 entries were submitted this year which set an “extremely high” standard for companies being considered for a Cloud Computing World Series Award, according to Keynote World Media, the awards sponsor.
Having been judged by an independent panel of industry experts, Hexagrid was shortlisted in both the Best Virtualization Product and Best Cloud Platform categories alongside industry players like Abiquo (News - Alert), CATechnologies, and Snaplogic, among others, according to company officials.
Hexagrid will be honored with its accolade at the third annual Cloud Computing World Forum on June 21 in Olympia, London.
