ConnectMeVoice's Scott Seltzer Comments on Importance of Hosted PBX Market

By Stefania Viscusi, Assignment Desk Editor
N.J.-based telecommunications technology developer, ConnectMeVoice, also known as “ConnectMe,” offers hosted PBX (News - Alert) solutions for small and medium-sized businesses so they too can take advantaged of advanced communications capabilities that traditional phone services lack.

Scott Seltzer, president of ConnectMe sat down to chat with TMC’s Erik Linask during the recent ITEXPO (News - Alert) East 2010 to discuss the importance of the Hosted PBX market right now.

“What’s really important,” Seltzer said, “is that especially for the smaller business, it enables them to sort of level the playing field with a larger company.”

With a hosted PBX, Seltzer said, they can provide the same types of features and communications abilities that a very high-end piece of equipment can provide without the user having to worry about maintenance, moves, and keeping up with that equipment.

“So, a monthly flat-rate fee from an economic stand point is a good choice for a small business to make right now,” Seltzer said.

In addition to cost savings, service and maintenance are also huge benefits turning user on to hosted solutions, Seltzer said.

One feature that’s really been huge for the company according to Seltzer is the ability to record calls and then play the recordings online, send them through email, and more.

In addition to the benefits for small businesses, larger businesses are also now looking to the hosted model as a way to save on costs.

“At some point, it doesn’t really matter whether something is hosted at your premise or hosted at someone else’s premise - it ends up still being a IP-PBX one way or the other,” Seltzer said.
