In just a few days, data center power monitoring company Server Technology (News - Alert) will join hundreds of IT professionals at Cisco Live in Las Vegas, an event that boasts over 200 hands-on demonstrations, dozens of educational lectures and hundreds of product experts who are ready to share their insights.
Server Technology is already gearing up to attend the event, taking place from July 10-14, and is looking forward to seeing Cisco (News - Alert) officials make good on their promise that attendees will be able to “learn, connect and collaborate together.”
“We started participating because of our ability to provide solutions for their Unified Computing System (UCS) within the data center equipment cabinet,” Brandon Siri, Sever Technology’s senior marketing representative, told TMCnet.
“We are most looking forward to talking to data center professionals about their ideas and what’s new, as well as talking about and showing our new data center power distribution solutions,” he added.
Cisco Live offers an unparalleled combination of education and training on the latest technologies and trends; testing and certification on Cisco products; and the opportunity for attendees to extend their professional networks by forging new connections with like-minded colleagues. This year, Cisco Live will feature educational lectures from dozens upon dozens of IT, networking and communications professionals who will talk about everything from networks to IT management to social networking.
For Server Technology, a company that has a specific relationship with Cisco, the event is particularly meaningful.
“Cisco leans on us to solve power distribution and power management challenges,” Siri said. “We design products to help Cisco with their UCS overarching goals – boosting data center performance, significantly lowering TCO (total cost of ownership), reducing data center equipment and infrastructure costs and enhancing efficiency.”
For example, some of its latest high-end CDUs, including the CS-6HD, are specifically designed to power and monitor Cisco products like the new Cisco Nexus 7000 series switches. Server Technology will be demonstrating its data center power monitoring products, designed to power the Cisco UCS Network, at Cisco Live.
“Cisco unites servers in one cohesive solution and we provide solutions to power that network - Cisco 2000, 5000 and 7000 series switches, as well as Cisco Catalyst,” Siri said.
