Daptiv has launched a data centre in the Netherlands, thereby strengthening its presence in EMEA. In order to meet the high demand for Daptiv’s SaaS (News - Alert)-based PPM software among its customers, the company decided to introduce a data centre in Europe. The first customer of the data centre, which is located in Amsterdam, will be the Telecom and Integrated Applications or TIA (News - Alert) directorate of the European Space Agency or ESA, which has recently extended its Daptiv PPM subscription.

The company has also set up an office in London's Holborn area, thereby extending its presence in the United Kingdom. Sales, support and professional services will be mainly carried out from the London office, thereby allowing Daptiv to serve its rising customer base in the region in an enhanced manner.

The head of the London office will be Mark Dallimore, Director for UK at Daptiv. For the past seven years. Dallimore is wholly involved in the PPM (News - Alert) software sector. Go-to-market strategies in both direct and indirect sales throughout many different geographies and cultures have been developed and carried out by Dallimore for over 18 years. Prior to joining Daptiv, Dallimore was working with Systems Union, Serena Software and AtTask.

Daptiv’s commitment to the region is evident from the new data centre location, which houses a superior ISO 27001:2005 certified facility. An EMEA-based data centre has been launched for the first time by Daptiv, which will be advantageously utilized by Daptiv’s first customer, the international organization, ESA, which represents Europe's gateway to space.

In a release, John Baldwin, CEO of Daptiv, said, "The Netherlands is a key business hub in EMEA and a strategic location to continue our international expansion. This new data centre is ideally located to serve our customers in the region particularly those with international security and privacy concerns. Our infrastructure expansion into EMEA represents an important milestone for Daptiv, and customers who are continuing to invest in innovative solutions that drive their businesses forward on a global scale."

A minimum of 100,000 subscribers across the globe are currently using Daptiv's SaaS-based software. These subscribers are from a wide range of verticals like healthcare, education, technology and financial services among others.
