Viridity Software, a provider of data center management (ERM) software, announced the general availability of its EnergyCheck energy efficiency health check application designed for data centers.

Steve Keilen, vice president of marketing and inside sales at Viridity Software, said.

EnergyCheck is an application built to address the demands of customers who consistently face the challenges of not having a simple, non-intrusive way to understand power consumption and utilization, as well as how to tie IT investments back to the business.

The new software solution enables companies to ensure overall energy efficiency, discover hidden opportunities for recapturing power, cooling and space capacity, as well as uncover opportunities for cost savings, the company said.

EnergyCheck software will start its job of precise data center management within just one week of its installation. It will then complete a thorough server power-utilization analysis and deliver a high-level report summarizing server utilization and the overall power/cooling savings opportunity. 

"Viridity's EnergyCheck is one of those 'must have' tools that will benefit any Data Center Manager trying to gain visibility and control of power, cooling and space issues in the data center," Bob Laliberte, senior analyst at  Enterprise Strategy Group (ESG) stated.

Recently Viridity Software announced it has been named to the Data Center Alliance member roster, TMCnet reported.

The participation in the alliance will further ensure that its data center and facilities management customers are being provided with the most robust and fully interoperable data center energy monitoring, measurement and management solutions, according to company officials.
