According to an AMI Partners report entitled "US SMB Playbook", the stage is set for the growth of cloud computing with the market for hosted storage slated to increase 11 percent yearly until 2015.
Analysts say that with such a growth in the offing and with Cloud storage also responding with rapid growth in the IT market, the future of Cloud computing and Cloud storage is positive. What was once a small insignificant percentage has now become a significant opportunity.
Data is stored on virtual servers generally hosted by third parties rather than on dedicated servers. Companies are viewing this form of storage positively to accelerate value in business financials and reduce costs.
While examining the outlook for companies in the Computer Storage Devices Industry , the Bedford report mentions Brocade Communications Systems (News - Alert), Inc., which recently introduced its "CloudPlex" cloud architecture and NetApp, which launched its virtualized storage management offering, 'OnCommand'.
Both companies are cited as having frameworks that will simplify cloud storage for end-customers by offering a range of relevant services.
