Adcap Signs Partnership Agreement with Coraid

By Rahul Arora, TMCnet Contributor

Adcap, a data networking company, recently announced that it has entered into a partnership agreement with Coraid, Inc., a leading provider of cloud storage solutions. According to the terms of partnership agreement, Coraid will provide high performance, reliable, low cost storage to Adcap’s large customer base.

Coraid provides a dynamic new storage option for our customers that are looking for the best price and performance in a variety of shared storage sizing configurations,” said Rolf Versluis, founder and CEO of Adcap Network Systems, in a press release. “We’re very excited about the ability to design a high-performance SAN system for the storage customer use cases in which Coraid excels.”

Adcap delivers expert sales, design, installation and support of secure data network and VoIP systems to clients in local government, K-12 and higher education, healthcare, industrial, business and retail services.

On the other hand, Coraid provides its line of EtherDrive storage solutions which are designed from the ground up for virtualization and cloud architectures. Coraid solutions have been deployed by more than 1,300 customers worldwide.

The company recently entered into a cloud storage partnership with Virteva, a Twin (News - Alert) Cities-based IT consulting and Managed Service Provider (MSP), to both resell Coraid and utilize EtherDrive storage within the Virteva Private Cloud platform.

Virteva cites the scalability, performance, and simplicity of Coraid's Ethernet SAN as key advantages over legacy storage solutions. Virteva has combined their deep expertise in the virtualization space with Coraid's cloud-ready Ethernet SAN platform to leapfrog the competition.

Officials with Coraid said that Virteva had three main requirements for their cloud storage platform. They needed to support multiple server operating systems, they needed scale out capacity with “just in time” responsiveness, and they needed to offer multiple levels of reliability matched to a variety of workloads ranging from mission-critical Tier-1 applications to archiving. Coraid's unique scale-out Ethernet SAN platform provided a unified tier of storage to support all of these requirements.
