With an objective to provide expanded services to clients, Deloitte (News - Alert) announced that it has expanded its Cloud Computing Practice and has appointed Paul Clemmons as the Practice Leader.

For those unaware, Cloud Computing Practice is like a source for companies who are interested in purchasing their IT infrastructure via cloud based services such as Infrastructure as a Service, Platform as a Service (PaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS (News - Alert)), Desktops as a Service (DaaS), Cloud Performance Management, Cloud Security, and more.

Some of the investments made by Deloitte in cloud computing include expanded services to clients, including cloud provider business model advisory, operating model development and ecosystem development with advisory, implementation and operational services.

According to a press release, Deloitte's expanded cloud computing services will facilitate clients in their efforts to: scale new and existing SaaS delivery capabilities; help them to create PaaS custom development and deployment capability; and address cloud-centric data and integration.

Paul Clemmons, the new Practice Leader for the company’s cloud computing services, is an accomplished principal with Deloitte Consulting LLP. Clemmons background covers a variety of domains such as sales and marketing, e-commerce, customer experience and Enterprise Resource Planning, and across a number of different industries such as technology, financial services and consumer business.
