Wyse Technology's Wyse T50 Now Available

Provider of cloud client computing Wyse Technology has announced the Wyse T50 thin client, saying that it delivers excellent Web, Citrix, Microsoft (News
- Alert), and VMware VDI user experience, all through an intuitive user interface.
Powered by Wyse-enhanced Linux, Wyse T50 delivers the best multimedia and management capabilities in its class, said company officials. Plus, it delivers a simpler user interface and a “plug and display” start-up of less than 20 seconds. Also, the ENERGY STAR (News - Alert) Version 5.0, and EPEAT-compliant Wyse T50 thin client displays vibrant multimedia and Flash in VDI and the local browser.
Moreover, the new offering features the same automatic configuration and management used in Wyse's premium thin and zero clients. Company officials said that this eliminates the need for manual utilities and wizards.
Wyse T50 offers users the DVI-I display option to connect to two monitors for optimum viewing versatility. It also includes advanced networking capabilities, with gigabit Ethernet and optional integrated B/G/N Wi-Fi.
Company officials said that Wyse T50 also supports the RDP7 protocol and includes Wyse Collaborative Processing Architecture media redirection and bitmap compression.
Additionally, Wyse T50 is equipped with Marvell ARMADA PXA 510 application processor, an ARMv7 CPU running at 1GHz frequency. “Wyse's T50 equipped with Marvell’s ARMADA PXA 510 processor delivers higher performance and lower power dissipation while providing full software compatibility to ARM (News

Company officials said that Wyse-enhanced Linux firmware is verified Citrix Ready for Citrix Receiver with HDX, and features certification with VMware View Open Client, and support for Wyse TCX and VDA.
“The Wyse T50 is verified as Citrix Ready, giving our mutual customers confidence that the T50 and Citrix XenDesktop work together and deliver the best user experience as part of a desktop virtualization infrastructure,” said Joe Keller, vice president, community and alliance marketing at Citrix.
