NaviSite (News - Alert), Inc., a leader in cloud computing solutions, has found a friend in iSentry, as the DCX supplier recently announced that is has selected NaviSite’s Managed Cloud Services (MCS) to support and deliver its Digital Content Exchange (DCX) solution.

“With NaviSite’s Managed Cloud Services, we can now offer on-demand, cloud-based resources from within a SAS70 environment,” said Gareth Evans, managing director of iSentry Group, in a statement. “The ability to rapidly create new Linux virtual machines, combined with NaviSite’s usage-based pricing makes this cloud-based solution doubly attractive. In the U.S., more than 100 banks and lenders rely on the system for their day-to-day business.”

iSentry, a leading provider of intelligent products for secure messaging, document delivery and digital signing, worked closely with the cloud computing leader to create a secure, compliant cloud-based environment for DCX. By turning to NaviSite’s MCS, iSentry will now be able to deploy its on-demand DCX solution quickly and without racking up cost prohibitive infrastructure build-out.

By using the AppCenter Web-based management console, iSentry was able to implement an operational cloud-based version of its existing managed hosting environment in just a few days. Now, with the ability to “dynamically define and create load-balanced clusters of cloned DCX servers in a SAS70 environment,” iSentry can add capacity to its SaaS (News - Alert)-based DCX environments to meet demand, according to company officials.

“iSentry’s selection of our Managed Cloud Services highlights the clear business benefits offered by an enterprise-class cloud service,” said Philip Cheek, UK General Manager, NaviSite. “MCS’s robust set of management and security tools enable customers to rapidly deploy and scale cloud-based environments for critical business applications, such as iSentry’s DCX.”

In other cloud computing news, NaviSite and Deltek announced that they have formed a partnership to offer a hosted, managed solution for Deltek's financial management suite of Costpoint applications.

NaviSite Managed Application Services (MAS) for Deltek Costpoint is designed to enable government and enterprises to implement Costpoint solutions while removing upfront capital expenditures and reducing operational costs.

“We are excited about this strategic partnership,” said Namita Dhallan, executive VP of Product Strategy and Management for Deltek, in statement. “With NaviSite, we now have an alternative application delivery channel that provides government organizations and enterprises with access to our portfolio of Costpoint applications while leveraging the benefits of a hosted, managed solution.”
