Cloud computing is becoming popular in commercial and consumer IT applications. There is growing demand in cloud computing infrastructure. Connectria, a company in cloud computing, dedicated server hosting and complex hosting solutions has declared the survey results of its managed cloud computing customers. The study was done by TechValidate, an independent research organization.

According to a press release, the results of the study revealed that Connectria’s (News - Alert) customers are successfully able to run production environments using Connectria’s managed cloud computing solutions, and showed that Connectria was selected over both Amazon and Rackspace. These positive survey results followed the recent announcement where Connectria’s managed cloud solutions received high grades within Longhaus’ 2011 Trusted Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) Cloud Providers Study.

Connectria’s cloud solutions were ranked higher than Rackspace, Amazon, and Go Grid, among more than twenty other cloud providers in this study.

Scott Azzolina, Connectria’s VP of marketing said that, “The TechValidate survey of our managed cloud computing customers confirmed a genuine need and preference for a managed cloud solution within the corporate and enterprise markets, particularly for production environments and Connectria’s extensive security and reliability features of its managed cloud computing solutions are a key reason for our success within corporate computing environments. It was especially gratifying to learn that 100 percent of our cloud computing customers surveyed would recommend Connectria.”

The 100 percent of Connectria’s customers surveyed would recommend Connectria’s managed cloud solutions and support. 71 percent of the organizations are using Connectria’s cloud computing solutions for a production IT environment. 74 percent of the organizations preferred a managed cloud solution with a fixed monthly charge versus a pay-as-you-go model, with 82 percent citing a preference for a predictable, fixed cost model since it is in line with their budget process and 67 percent of the organizations chose a managed cloud over an unmanaged cloud due to better support.

In other company news, TMCnet reported that Connectria received high grades by Longhaus' 2011 Trusted Infrastructure as a Service Cloud Providers Study.
