By Mini Swamy, TMCnet Contributor

Todd Feinroth and Jay Wampold have been recently appointed as chief revenue officer and director of marketing and communications, respectively in order to strengthen the managerial team and sustain the period of rapid growth and adoption of the industry's first hosted service for configuration management and infrastructure automation at Opscode Inc.

Feinroth, with over 15 years of enterprise sales leadership experience in software and data center automation solution to Fortune 1000 companies, occupied key positions in all the companies that he worked. At Opscode, he will be primarily responsible for developing and executing Opscode's multi-channel revenue strategy, including direct sales, strategic alliances, professional services and support.

Wampold, primarily served as director of communications for various companies, where he led outbound marketing, creating the scale-out storage market. He also had a hand in creating and leading the Internet media delivery market for RealNetworks (News - Alert), and was instrumental in playing a key role in the company's successful IPO.

"Since launching the Opscode Platform in June, customer adoption has surpassed our assumptions and it is time to bolster our team with veteran marketing and sales leadership to take advantage of the exceptional opportunity ahead of us," said Jesse Robbins, co-founder and CEO of Opscode in a press statement.

He further added that with experienced and respected leaders Todd Feinroth and Jay Wampold at the helm, Opscode would be in a position to scale from the exciting early stages of market adoption to tens of thousands of customers and millions of dollars in recurring revenue in a short period of time.

Founded in 2008, Opscode's management team includes experts responsible for creating and operating some of the world's largest websites and cloud computing platforms

In a related news release, Opscode, Inc., announced that more than 200 individuals and 50 companies have registered to contribute to Chef, an open-source systems integration framework that enables companies of all sizes to build, scale and manage world-class, fully automated infrastructures
