Telesphere Selected as a Finalist for Pioneering Innovation Award for GCOI
Telesphere has said that it was recently selected as a finalist in the Pioneering Innovation Award for Governor’s Celebration of Innovation (GCOI) presented by the Arizona Technology Council.
Arizona Technology Council is a private, not-for-profit trade association founded to connect, represent and support the state's expanding technology industry. Steven G. Zylstra, president and CEO of the Arizona Technology Council, said “it is companies like Telesphere (News - Alert) that are helping Arizona establish itself as a progressive technology market.”
This represents the second time Telesphere has been a finalist for this annual award. This award honors Arizona's technology leaders and innovators. The event is said to attract over 1,000 attendees -- technologists, corporate executives, entrepreneurs, investors, and policymakers -- each year for a night of networking, food, and entertainment.
Arizona Technology Council has recognized the company for its innovation in telecommunications, said Clark Peterson, CEO at Telesphere, adding that the company is “leading the way” in the cloud communications movement, which is driving convergence between desk phones, mobile phones, and PCs.
“Since the intelligence of all the devices has shifted to the cloud, they can integrate in ways never before possible. All this means greater efficiencies and cost savings for our customers,” Peterson said.
Telesphere is a nationwide business phone and Internet services provider that delivers an innovative package of hosted VoIP telephone services and Internet access to businesses throughout the United States.
Earlier this month, Skullcandy selected Telesphere to supply hosted voice and data services to its Park City and San Clemente locations.
